Fishing You a Happy Father's Day! A Fun Fishing Themed Free Cake Video Tutorial by MyCakeSchool.com!

    Hi everyone!

Father's Day is almost here and we have a new free video tutorial for you! Today we are going to demonstrate a Father's Day Fishing Cake that is SO simple to create. This is a buttercream frosted sheet cake, that when carved, spells out "DAD" and is decorated as a fish! If the Dad in your life is not a fan of fishing, the carved cake can be decorated to suit all sorts of themes. Have fun, and make sure to find a few helpful tips and materials below the video!

    YouTube video

    Materials:
We used a single layer 9x13 cake
    Template
Buttercream Frosting (Choose your favorite, we used our Fluffy Vanilla Buttercream.)
Coloring Gels: We used Americolor Lemon Yellow, Sky Blue, Electric Green, and Wilton Rose (use whatever brand/colors you like!)
    Hershey Kiss for eye
Piping Tips: We used Wilton 12, 21, 4B, & 3 (If you don't have a 4B, improvise with any star tip)
Fondant: Very small amount for hook (optional) brushed with Silver Luster Dust
    Disposable Piping Bags
Cake board cut to shape of cake, and cake base/tray/covered board of your choice.

Hi Fathima, We used the White Almond Sour Cream doctored recipe. It makes 7 cups batter, just the amount needed for a 9 x 13 inch pan.
