I got a request for a leopard print but they wanted it painted on buttercream. I've seen it done on fondant. I've also done fondant leopard print on buttercream but never hand painted. Has anyone done this or even know if it's possible? Thank u!

  2. Hi Jamie-- The closest I've come to painting on buttercream successfully is just using a paintbrush to add detail to crusted buttercream in our Brushed Embroidery video. I think that you could make that work with leopard print too (not brushed embroidery but using the softened buttercream as paint which you can carefully brush on.) --

Another option which would be to just pipe on thin leopard spots in crusting buttercream (after frosting your cake) and then use a viva paper towel to smooth them. I demonstrate this in the blog--here's a link!
