This is the perfect accent for your Christmas cakes! In this video, I use pre-colored red Satin Ice fondant (with CMC/tylose added) as a time saver. I added a little bit more Americolor Super Red to deepen the shade a bit.
I used 22 gauge wire for my petals and leaves, although 24 would work well too. This wire is fairly sturdy, which I like to use for larger petals. (26 gauge wire is fine to use with smaller petals). I used 32 gauge wire for the center of the poinsettia, and 20 gauge wire for the stem . . .
